Welcome to RomanianKids.com                     Helping the kids of Romania! Romanian kids need our help. Thousands are living in state institutions, having been abandoned by mothers and fathers who never developed an appreciation for strong family values. The lack of family values is an extremely unfortunate legacy of Communism and an oppressive government.   In a misplaced effort to strengthen their country, the former Communist regime in Romania encouraged Romanian women to have many children. But they did nothing to instill family values and responsibility. Many of these kids were turned over to the care of the state. The Communist regime is gone, but the lack of family values is still prevalent. Romania is still trying to cope with a culture where parental responsibility is a foreign concept to many.     VIDEO   Rophe Mission was founded a few years ago by a new college graduate to provide a home to some of these kids where Christian family values are paramount. Rophe is the Hebrew term for healing. The mission operates under the guidance of the leadership team of First Christian Church, Martins Ferry, OH.   Construction is almost complete and the home will be ready for the kids as soon as day-to-day funding for expenses is in place. That's where we come in! Our   Mission RomanianKids.com exists to provide sustaining support to the kids so that the mission staff can focus on providing day-to-day love, care and guidance.   We can join together to pray, send e-mail and cards, call or even visit!   And without our financial support, the work will not be able to continue. We need to set up our monthly contributions now, and let others know about this great mission and ask them to help too.
